How to take care of Azalea Japonica Pink
For best results soak the roots for approx 2 hrs before planting and water well after planting and for the next few weeks. Choose a sheltered position in sun to light shade. Prepare planting site well by adding plenty of peaty potting compost. Ensure the root ball is no more than 3cm below the surface of the soil. (If it is planted too deep it can stunt the growth or even kill the plant) Azaleas will thrive in acidic, moist, but well drained soil. Azalea Mollis will grow to a height of 1.4m and has fragrant flowers in late spring followed by rich foliage. Prune by breaking off dead flowers with your fingers. IMPORTANT WARNING All parts of the plant are poisonous, do not eat.
