Astilbes have glorious arching plumes made up of tiny flowers in mid-summer. They are clump-forming perennial plants with deep rich, glossy fern-like foliage which is finely dissected with crinkly-edges. Ideal for shady spots and moist areas in your garden or for patio planters. They make excellant cut flowers and are deer resistant. This offer is for a white Astilbe with a dark stem and lush green foliage.

How to take care of Astilbe arendsii White
Plant Astilbes in well-prepared moist soil; mix the topsoil with 50% potting compost. Plant the tubers at a depth of 15cms and approx. 30cms apart and cover well. Not showing above the ground. They prefer a sunny to partially shady position and must not be allowed to dry out. In warmer climates a thick mulch layer of well-rotted manure helps the soil to retain moisture, and in colder areas it will help protect again frost damage. Flowers will appear all summer. Divide well-established clumps every 4 years.
