How to take care of Anemone Combo Hollandia and Fokker x 40
Anemone corms should be soaked in water for 12 hours prior to planting. Plant in well-drained soil in a sunny, sheltered spot or in full sun or if planted in pots. You can improve heavy soil by mixing in some sand. Plant the bulbs approximately 10-12 cm deep and 5-10cm apart, water well after planting. For best results, as the buds materialize, add a high potash liquid feed in early spring to fertilize. Remove dead flowerheads to promote new growth. allow foliage to die back naturally as this will send nutrients to the bulbs for next years bloom. Please note to survive harsh winters apply a mulch (straw or newspaper) over them to avoid any frost damage. Remove when all danger of frost has passed.
