Heuchera plants are commonly known as Coral Bells
Heuchera plants have showy scalloped leaves in striking colour combinations and insignificant flowers appear in delicate lacy sprays in late spring to early summer and often again at the end of summer.
Heuchera plants are named after Johann Heinrich von Heucher (1677–1746) a German physician and botanist. Coral bells are very hardy and their evergreen foliage makes them an excellent winter groundcover plant. All Heuchera plants are part of the Saxifraga family indigenous to North America.
