How to take care of Aubergine Early Long Purple
Aubergines are best grown started off indoors from March. Plant them at a depth/ width of 1cm and keep them warm. When ready transplant them to your garden, borders or in pots. Use a well-drained and manured soil and space them 60cm apart. They will need support. Water frequently (little but often) to help keep spider mites away. Once fully grown cut the fruit from its stem. Fresh are shiny and smooth, over ripped have dull skin, and are bitter.
