How to take care of Buxus sempervirens Hedge 9 cm Pot
Buxus can be clipped as a hedge or used for Topiary work. Soak the roots before planting. Grows well in shady or sunny locations and also suitable for coastal areas. Fertilise the plant with a good liquid fertiliser once every two weeks from April until August from next year onwards. Water regularly making sure that the soil does not dry out. When repotting take care that the new pot is much wider than (approx 2 cm. on each side) the old pot. Topiary must be trimmed into shape with sharp tools, but only during dark rainy days else you will get brown edges along the cutting line. Cut back the upper third of leading shoots in spring to promote bushy growth, trim during May and June/ July. Stop trimming by end of August.
