Ceanothus Blue is a beautifully bushy outdoor shrub, grown for its dense evergreen foliage and a long season of deep blue blossom.
Location
Plant in a sunny spot outdoors, where its blue flowers and evergreen foliage can be enjoyed to full effect.
Growth habit and size
This is a dense, bushy shrub that grows into a substantial garden plant, reaching around 1.50–2 m tall with a spread of about 125–150 cm.
Plant care
Ceanothus grows well in all soil types. When planting, loosening the roots and mixing a little potting compost into the planting hole helps the plant establish, followed by thorough watering.

Instructions
Remove the plant from the nursery pot and gently loosen the root ball so the roots can grow outwards.
Soak the root ball in a bucket of water for 10–12 hours before planting.
Dig a hole deep enough so the root ball sits just below the soil surface.
Mix some potting compost through the soil from the planting hole.
Place the plant in the hole with the roots spread out, backfill with soil, firm in well and water thoroughly.
After 4 weeks, sprinkle a small handful of organic fertiliser on the soil around the plant.
