How to take care of Crocosmia Lucifer x 10
Plant Crocosmia Lucifer in well-drained soil in a sheltered spot with full or partial sun. Planting in containers is not recommended. Fertilize with fish or bone meal in spring but do not use a high nitrogen content fertilizer. After flowering allow foliage to die back naturally as this will send nutrients to Crocosmia Lucifer for next year’s bloom cut down to 2" (5cm) above ground level in late autumn. Please note to survive harsh winters apply a mulch straw or well-rotted compost over them to avoid any frost damage. Remove when all danger of frost has passed. Divide the clumps every few years, being careful not to separate individual strings of corms.
