Digitalis purpurea Foxy hybrids is a variety from the common foxgloves but this special Foxy Group are noted for their ability to produce flowers in the first year. In summer it produces clusters of tubular shaped blooms in a mix of purple, rose, lavender, red, cream, yellow and white, each with distinctly speckled throats. A great plant for a beginner gardener and those looking for a low maintenance garden.

Digitalis Purpurea Foxy Hybrids is an evergreen hardy perennial and will grow in most conditions, best in semi shade and well-drained soil. As Digitalis Purpurea Foxy Hybrids is a woodland plant they like to be in sheltered locations with filtered light. In hot areas keep the base of the plant well mulched in order to keep it moist like a forest floor. After flowering cut back the flowered spikes to encourage more side-shoots. Cut down to the ground after flowering. Apply a generous mulch of well-rotted organic matter around the plant in autumn. Attention: Harmful if eaten and via skin especially the roots.
