A member of the Aster family Cornflowers are one of the most striking wildflowers, their intense blue flowers attract bees and butterflies into the garden. Perfect for wild flower and Cottage gardens, they also look great dried in arrangements. Sow from early spring until early summer in rows or scattered. Prick out if necessary by transferring partially developed seedlings to larger pots before their roots become too entwined.

How to take care of Cornflower Blue Ball
Cornflowers seeds can be sown directly into your garden or in pots between March and May. The will grow well in most soils but prefer well drained, they grow best in a sheltered spot as the wind may break their long stems. Each seed needs to be planted 1.5cm and covered lightly with soil. Water well after planting. The seeds usually take 1 - 2 weeks to sprout and they'll start to flower from Mid June through to September.
