Description

Geranium x cantabrigiense Karmina is a true hardy Geranium, not to be confused with the annual Pelargonium which blooms in summer until first frosts. In late spring Karmina produces deep pink flowers and rounded green foliage. Leaves turn brilliant crimson in autumn. A low-growing easy to care for perennial that can quickly form a floral carpet.

Care - Usage

How to take care of Geranium x cantabrigiense Karmina

Plant your geraniums in any reasonable garden soil. Plant them at the recommended depth in sunny to partially shady areas. They should not be allowed to dry out; in very dry summers make sure that the plants are frequently watered. Remove dead flower heads, as they appear to encourage new growth. Cutting back old flowering stems keeps the plant tidy and will encourage a further flush of flowers and will prevent over-seeding. Divide clumps in early spring or late autumn. If supplied as bare roots please soak them for 12-18 hours (do not exceed 24 hours). This allows them to take up the maximum amount of water without doing any injury to the plant.
