How to take care of Brugmansia Pink Angels Trumpets
Give plenty of water upon receipt. They are best grown in large containers under glass in partial sun and placed outdoors for the summer in a sheltered position. Plant in a light, fertile, well- drained soil. Brugmansias are heavy feeders and need to be fertilized 2x per week during the growing season or tomato food once a week. Because of the tropical nature they need large amounts of water to remain healthy. It blooms on new wood, so it can be trimmed when growth becomes excessive at the end of autumn. Cut back to about 10-12" (25-30cm) above the pot, place in a cold (frost-free) room. It is normal for leaves to turn yellow and drop. Check regularly for red spider mites, they look like pepper dust under the leaves. If infected obtain something to kill them at your local garden centre. Remove faded flowers as they die. Brugmansias prefer rain water to normal tap water. Flowering begins when the plant is 3-5 ft. tall. Attention: All parts of this plant are poisonous, do not eat
