How to take care of Ilex maximowicziana kanehirae 9 cm pot
Plant is well drained soil in a sunny to partially shaded position, make sure that you give this shrub enough room to spread. Water well after planting and for a few weeks afterwards. This compact variety requires little or no pruning but if you have to prune then you can prune in late winter or early spring. Prune out by removing diseased, damaged, crowded shoots and any that are growing in unwanted directions The colour of the Ilex crenata leaves is dependent upon the amount of sunlight received during the day, so you will get the the best foliage colour if planted in a position with full sun. In shady areas, the leaves will turn a considerably darker shade of green.
