Mahonia aquifolium is a tough, evergreen shrub with glossy dark green holly-like leaves turning burgundy in winter. Suitable for low, loose hedging; from late winter to mid spring it produces clusters of golden yellow flowers followed by blue-black berries in summer and autumn.
It is resistant to summer drought and tolerates poor soils growing almost anywhere. The annual growth rate is approx 30cm.

How to take care of Mahonia aquifolium hedge
Resistant to summer drought and tolerates poor soils growing almost anywhere. For best results plant in a sunny position. Pruning is not necessary but if required do so in late autumn or early spring.plant 5 per meter for a dense hedge.
