How to take care of Helleborus Sternii 12cm pot
Plant them in deep, rich organic soil that retains some moisture. They will tolerate partial sun but prefer shade. Remove any foliage that has paled after flowering and cover the plant with well-decomposed compost to serve as a protective mulch. Helleborus takes between 12 and 18 months to become established and this plant does not like to be disturbed. It flowers in February and April, depending on the variety. Helleborus Niger can be lifted from the ground as early as the end of October and replanted in a pot, and pushed into flower again around Christmas. Leave them at moderate heat (16ºC) in a dark cupboard until the flower buds appear. Bring them out into the daylight to watch them flower.
