Daily Bread is a reblooming variety that produces masses of brilliant golden, sweetly scented trumpet shaped blooms from June into Autumn on strong, erect stems. They look fabulous when planted amongst your summer and herbaceous borders while the bright green, decorative foliage helps to suppress weeds. Hemerocallis will return in slowly expanding clumps each year , they are robust and quite easy to grow.

How to take care of Hemerocallis daylily Daily Bread
Before planting soak the bare roots for 12-18 hours (do not exceed 24 hours). Plant in full sun or part shade in moist soil (they like best moist conditions but will tolerate dryer soils). Prepare the planting area by digging a hole larger than the root ball, plant at a depth of (10cm) 4" and space (20-30cm) 8-12" apart. Spread the roots out. Plant so that the crown is level with the surface of the soil. Apply some organic fertiliser on top of the soil. Remove withered flower heads regularly. A good mulch of wood chips or bark will help to preserve the moisture in the summer. Divide if necessary every 3 - 4 years and replant.
