How to keep the Christmas tree Nordmann as long as possible and to prevent it from turning brown?The Nordmann Christmas tree is a strong and sturdy tree, but they’re are 3 important things to ensure best results. Place the tree in your shed or garage to let it acclimatize for a day. Then the transition from outside to the warm living room will be more successful. For best results cut the stem at an angle and remove one or two inches from the bottom, this will help the tree can soak up water better. Make sure there is always water at the base of the foot and also that the water level is high enough so that the bottom of the trunk can still soak up water. If you cannot provide this then its better planted in a bucket of wet sand and keep the sand moist at all times.
