How to take care of Scabiosa mix
This long-flowering border plant thrives best in full sun, in well-drained, non-acid soil. Plant 30cm (12") apart and add compost, peat or leaf mould to the planting mixture. Remove withered flower heads regularly and cut down the stems once the floral display is over. Keep watch for slugs in the spring. The flowers last a long time in water as a cut flower and are excellent as dried flowers.
