How to take care of Symphytum azureum
Grow in moderately fertile, moist soil and choose a sun or partial shade position. Appreciates some afternoon shade in hot summer climates. This variety makes good groundcover but can become invasive so choose your site carefully. Cut back after flowering to encourage neat, young foliage to return. Add some slug pellets to avoid Slug and snail damage. Propagate by division of fleshy roots in spring and propagate by root cuttings in early winter.
