The name Aster comes from the Greek word for star.Also known as Michaelmas Daisies, these old favourites bloom from late summer into autumn with a multitude of elegant white, long lasting, daisy-like flowers.Very hardy, forming ever-increasing clumps that need to be divided every 3 - 4 years in the early spring. Ideal for in pots or in your borders combined with other late flowering plants, they provide colour when most other plants are fading.

How to take care of Aster dumosus Apollo x 3

Plant Aster dumosus Apollo in any well-drained alkaline to slightly acidic fertile soil that retains moisture. Place in an open sunny position. Water well after planting. Do not hose over the foliage as this can encourage mildew growth on the foliage. Remove the dead flowers regularly to encourage growth and cut down the stems once the flowering period is over. Please soak the bare roots for 12-18 hours (do not exceed 24 hours). This allows them to take up the maximum amount of water without doing any injury to the plant.
