How to take care of Genista Spachiana 15 cm pot
Plant it in a large well draining planter or in the ground. It prefers an acidic soil and grows best in a light shade and well-sheltered position. Stake the shrub until it is strong enough to withstand the wind itself. Feed in late spring or early summer. Apply a thick layer of mulch around the base at time of planting to retain moisture or protect against hard frost. In spring on previous years wood should be cut back hard immediately after flowering. Remove old flower heads to encourage prolonged flowering. During harsh winters you may need to bring pot grown trees indoors to an unheated room until it warms up.
