Hamamelis x intermedia 'Pallida' is a cross between Japanese and chinese witch hazel and is an excellent choice for adding a splash of colour during the dark winter months.
In autumn the bright green leaves turn spectacular shades of yellow, orange and red before falling and pale yellow spidery flowers with a delicate fragrance appear on the bare branches throughout the winter.
It's more upright that other varieties, making it a good specimen plant and can also be effective when planted in groups in a shrub border.

How to take care of Hamamelis x Intermedia Pallida
For best results soak the roots for approx 2 hrs before planting and water well after planting and for the next few weeks. Grow in fertile, moist but well-drained, acid to neutral soil. Choose a position in full sun or partial shade in a site that is open but not exposed. Pruning: remove any crossing shoots in late winter or early spring to maintain a healthy framework.
