How to take care of Haworthia fasciata Zebra Plant
Haworthias are winter growers and are dormant during the hottest summer months. It requires very porous soil with excellent drainage. For best results put a layer of small gravel at the bottom of the pot and also one inch on the top of the soil to prevent stem rot. Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch but be careful not to over-water. This variety prefers filtered, bright light. Let the plants get settled before applying any fertiliser. Feed twice a year, once in April and once in July with a water soluble fertiliser. If you plan to have it in the garden, it needs to be protected from frost. Repot in the spring using a shallow pot. Propagation can by done usually by offsets.
