A very rewarding dwarf evergreen due to its all year round colour interest, dense form and interesting bark. It has a neat, rounded shape but it’s the soft sprays of feathery, golden yellow foliage that sets this conifer apart from the rest.
Its easily maintained and looks great when used an accent plant or as a single specimen plant in containers.

How to take care of Thuja occidentalis Golden Globe
In general : Thuja occidentalis Golden Globe dislike wet feet, therefore plant in well-drained soil which has been improved with some compost, you can improve soil drainage by mixing in some sand or grit to the planting holes. Thuja occidentalis Golden Globe have strong preference for sandy, acidic soils. At the start of winter water the Thuja occidentalis Golden Globe well so that they go into the winter with a moisture boost. As Thuja occidentalis Golden Globe are evergreen trees, they keep on dehydrating all winter long. Avoid shading the base of the plant to prevent the lower part also turning brown - it does not stand shade. Do not apply fertilizer until your trees have been in the ground for at least 6 -8 weeks. It could burn the new roots. During Feb and March add some Natural Kieserite (Magnesium Sulphate) on top of the soil to improve the foliage colour, if you cannot obtain it, organic fertilizer will suffice. Thuja occidentalis Golden Globe require occasional maintenance and upkeep, and should only be pruned to remove any dead and old wood.
