Description

Rubus fruticosus Black Satin is a vigorously growing blackberry producing an abundance of deliciously sweet and juicy, deep blue-black berries which appear on second year wood. This variety is thornless so the fruit can be harvested easily. As an added bonus this shrub produces pretty pink flowers in spring. This specimen is self-fertile so it doesn’t require another pollinator.

Care - Usage

How to take care of Blackberry Black Satin

Water the root ball for 2 hours before planting! The next few weeks, water regularly so that the root system can develop well! Outdoor or garden marshmallow (Hibiscus syriacus ) Insert in a planting hole 30x30x30 cm. Soil : Fill with a soil - peat - compost mixture. (slightly acidic soil, you can also use azalea soil) Location : Sunny, warm location protected from the wind Fertilization : Add some organic fertilizer on top of the soil. Cut back old shoots in spring if necessary.
