Grape Vine Collection Blue And White 20-30 cm x 2
Grape Vine Collection Blue And White 20-30 cm x 2
Grape Vine Collection Blue And White is a pair of grapevines chosen for their contrasting blue and white fruit and their value as productive climbers in the garden.
Location
Choose a sunny position where the vines can be trained along a wall, trellis or pergola. A chalky soil suits them well, as long as it drains freely.
Contents
This collection includes two grapevines: one blue variety (‘Boskoop Glory’) and one white variety (‘Pinot Blanc’) for a nicely varied crop.
Growth habit and size
These are vigorous climbing vines that can quickly cover a support as they establish. Allow generous spacing between plants for good development.
Plant care
Grow in a bright, sunny place in well-drained soil. When watering, aim at the base of the plant to avoid wetting the foliage.
Pruning and maintenance
Prune in February to keep a clear framework of main branches, and thin out distracting side shoots during summer so the plant keeps its shape on the support.
Winter hardiness
These grapevines tolerate winter temperatures down to –15°C. In very exposed places, a sheltered position helps them come through winter comfortably.

Instructions
Plant in a sunny spot in well-drained, chalky soil.
Provide a sturdy support such as wires or a trellis and guide the shoots as they grow.
If growing in a container, use a pot of at least 25 cm diameter with good drainage and a mix of sand, compost and potting soil.
Prune in February to maintain structure; remove unwanted side shoots in summer.
Water at the base to keep the foliage dry where possible.
