Hydrangea paniculata is a native of China and Japan. Its conical flower heads are made up of sterile ray florets, they start off a lime green colour turning gradually creamy-white with a gentle pink blush. Limelight is very hardy and it’s strong stems support it’s large and plentiful flower heads with ease. Supplied as a young specimen.

Care - Usage

How to take care of Hydrangea paniculata Limelight

Water the root for 2 hours before planting! Water regularly over the next few weeks so that the root system can develop well! When planting, add some peat to the planting hole so that more moisture is stored in the soil. Hydrangeas like a wind-protected location in partial shade. Protect the plant from heavy frost. Do not remove wilted flower heads, as these also protect the plant from frost in winter. The flower colour depends on the soil composition. Only white flowers are not affected by the PH value. Cut back in winter only to the first thick buds. The flowering period is in summer. You can also use most of the flower heads very nicely in dry bouquets.
