In general : Lawsons Cypress Hedge dislike wet feet, therefore plant in well-drained soil which has been improved with some compost, you can improve soil drainage by mixing in some sand or grit to the planting holes. Lawsons Cypress Hedge have strong preference for sandy, acidic soils. At the start of winter water the Lawsons Cypress Hedge well so that they go into the winter with a moisture boost.
