Jostaberry is a complex-cross fruit bush, involving three species, the blackcurrant, the North American coastal black gooseberry, and the European gooseberry. This Jostaberry has the advantage of being thornless and disease resistant. The nearly black very aromatic berry, which is smaller than a gooseberry and a bit larger than a blackcurrant, is very high in vitamin C and can be eaten both raw and cooked.
