Care - Usage

How to take care of Shallot Seed F1

Sow outdoors in rows from March to early April in fertile well-drained soil about 1 cm deep. If planted early then cover with cloches. It can take approx 15 days to germinate. Ensure rows are approx 15 cm apart and each seed about 2-3 cm apart. A wider spacing between them encourages the bulbs to ‘split’ into clusters. Thin seedlings out when they're approx 10 cm tall, and space them approx 35 cm apart. Harvest in approx 180 days.
